Wish list!!! reference file function

Martin,

Something that is really useful in artlantis R is the reference file function.

The "Use reference file" function enables the user to make updates to a project in the modeler without losing any of the data already entered into Artlantis, regardless of the format selected.

If C3d can have this function i think it will become the preffered 3d rendering package for architectural illustrators. As it will allow model updates from the users CAD package to directly link (maybe 3ds!!!).

Cheetah used smart folder, which is similar to your request.
-'A Smart Folder links the external 3D file to a the Cheetah3D scene without importing it. If the external 3D file changes Cheetah3D automatically updates the content of the smart folder. So you can still modify the external 3D file and still have the latest version of your model in Cheetah3D'

Hi,
Cheetah3D is sold only as download version. After registering you should have received a "Thanks for your purchase" email from Kagi which also contains your registration number for Cheetah3D. Enter this registration number in the preferences window to unlock Cheetah3D.

There doesn't exist a boxed version of Cheetah3D. Sorry.
