It's not finished yet, so C&C welcome!
Second picture has gone through Photoshop.

Hi Peter,
you made a fantastic progress. Wow. I can even see the VW emblem on the rims. Cool. :D :D

It's so great to see some cares modeled with Cheetah3D.

Martin

Gorgeous work, Peer !
IMHO, the first image could probably be even better with a better focus and some kind of background (maybe an out-of-focus background ?). Anyway, just an idea.

Thank you all for your nice words.!!! I'm almost blushing here :)

François -> That's a good idea to use a background, I will try some stuff during lunchbreak.

Regards,

Peter

edit: François, here's a render with blurry background.

That looks cool with the blurred background! Could you post a pic of your wireframe? I've got a Ghia ive been trying to model and that would help.

Hi Lonestar,

Here's the wireframe. There's already a subdivision modifier over the model. The glow in the headlight is a Photoshop thing. You should also have a look at Fused's tutorial about facemodelling. I learned a lot from that video and I used his techniques to model the car main body.
Good luck!

Regards,

Peter

From a pure technical point of view I love to see the wire frame. Your car model looks excellent. Are you working on the interior?

Andrew

Sorry no interior yet. But holidays are coming up. Who knows!

Here's the wireframe without the subdivision modifiers.

Regards,

Peter

So do you do your modeling with the subdivision modifiers on, or do you apply it afterwards? I was wondering what your settings are for the subdivision too. I seem to get a lot of wierd artifacts when I use it.
