Using Cheetah3d for bitmap manipulation.
Due a request "How to warp a raster of spheres per SVG" in another forum I came across this idea to map the texture to a warped plane and render it out instead.(... as there isn´t a vector graphics solution yet - from what I can tell so far - the "glass lozenge effect" from the quartz engine is too different)
It´s fun to add a spherify modifier over a texture mapped to a highres plane.
One might find it useful or entertaining though.
