Question for Martin (Cheetah 3D)

Is the software optimized for the G5 quad macs or just the dual core intel macs ?

Hi,
renderer in Cheetah3D isn't optimized for Intel hardware. It is pure hardware independent C. But for some reason it runs much faster on Intel processors. Probably due to the faster system bus which the Intel Macs offer.

But Cheetah3D is multithreaded and therefore supports the Quad processor Macs very well.
