Alpha Channel

I'm looking into Cheetah to do some 3D animations for my productions. The one thing I use extensively is alpha channels. For example, we'll model a phone and then render it out with the background as an alpha channel so that we can composite it in After Effects or Motion, and drop the object into the animation.

Can you do this with Cheetah?

Hi,
yes you can do that. Within the Camera object is a property called "background color". Set the opacity of that propety to 0. Then the background will be rendered transparent.

You can also check out the "Apple.jas" example scene which comes with Cheetah3D.

One last question--do you know if Cheetah can render motion blur for the animations?
