Black iPod Nano

Black iPod Nano

Hello there folks,
I am new to 3D design and Cheetah 3D. I tried several applications and Cheetah 3D and felt more at home in Cheetah 3D. The render you are about to see is my first render since I tried the tutorials.

I was out in town with my mate who was going to get a 4gb iPod nano in Black. Except they hadn't got any, so when I returned to my office I had crafted him one as an experiment.

I love playing with Cheetah 3D, there is so much I have to learn but its all fun. Many thanks to the creators of such an amazing product.

Hi,
very nice. Did you use a HDRI texture?

P.S. I'm currently considering to make a Cheetah3D rendering competition with maybe a black iPod nano as the main price.

Nilkimas, yes I used a UV tag. I wouldn't have known about them unless Martin hadn't pointed them out to me earlier.

Martin, not yet I haven't quite got that far. I used a photo I took while on vacation in September and wrapped it on the inside of a tube. I used a Arealight just inside the tube to light the texture and a spotlight on the iPod.

The competition sounds good, what we have to render to win an iPod?

I am thoroughly enjoying my learning experience with this amazing program.
