friendly booleans?

friendly booleans?

would be nice (REALLY nice!) to be able to use booleans without having the result triangulated afterwards, so the target meshes n-gons would remain the same, just with the subtracted (for instance) object gone. maybe the subtracted part could leave n-gons as well.
this could really open up a lot more possibilities for using them (i.e. beveling?!?!).
not sure how this would work with the intersect boolean...
thoughts?

Huh, one might have to travel far to find that solid booleans you are dreaming of;)
Triangled meshes seems to be their nature.

With kindest regards

This is on my personal top five wish list. But first I have to support N-Gons with holes. So it will come but please don't hold your breath yet.

Bye,
Martin
