Editable Mesh Resolution

Editable Mesh Resolution

I'd like to see a way to set the density/resolution of the meshes created when using the "Make Editable" command. Quite often the mesh generated is far more dense than I need for use in Unity and I have to spend time reducing the number of polys. And on that note, a tool to reduce the poly count of a selection would be nice too. :)

Thanks,
Jeff

Because it allows you to visually see the density of the mesh without turning it into an editable mesh. You can then play with the numbers in the creation properties (number of sides, etc) until it looks good to your eyes.

OK, I'll give it a shot and see what happens :) Thanks! Though I'm still requesting #2, a tool to reduce the poly count of a selection. :-D

One way to approach certain objects is to create them as low poly as you can stand and then using a subdivision modifier (and edge creases) to increase detail before exporting. That gives the most flexibility at the moment.
