Objects losing their shading when used in a Boolean creator

Hi,

I'm new to Cheetah so still learning loads - but I've hit a problem. I can apply different materials to an object successfully. But if I then place that object under a boolean creator I lose the shading and the object goes back to grey.

Am I doing something wrong?

Try adding the material to the boolean creator, or try reapplying the material to the original geometry. This should work.

Hi,
if a creator object doesn't have a material it normally inherits its material from the first child (sub object).

But if the polyobjects on which you apply the boolean operation have two diffent materials you can make a small work around. See therefore the screenshot below.

You also have to turn on "Light both sides" in the "Style" pull down menu above the 3D view.
