Color pallets how to open a new palette?

In materials if you choose color pallets and click on the cog it has a choice of open.
What extension must a palette have to be able to be opened?
I have an .aco palette I'd like to open but it is greyed out so....
what do I do? to get these colors into C3D.

Answer .cir on the app store for desktop search color palette converter. it will convert .aso files to .cir files and then can be opened in C3D as a palette Materials color palette open the .cir file YEA! Now I have matching color profiles in Clip studio and C3D as well as the matching color palettes. Cool.

I´m pretty sure you´re talking about ".CLR" files

".aco" files can be instantly viewed by this online app: https://aco-viewer.appspot.com
Too bad CSP just can export color sets to ".aco" and ".cls" instead of AdobeSwatchExchange=".ase"
At least macOS color picker can load images from where you can generate swatches+sets:

That’s interesting. I think I’ll try and convert some of the Pantone sets over.

Edit: There are options to export palettes to different formats from with Adobe apps, but I know not everyone has access to those.
