Why are there two "Color" properties when animating lights?

HI,

I'm trying to animate light color.
If you look at the video, I'm using the wrong "Color" Property, since there are two with the same name.

It works fine when using the first "Color", but this is confusing. What's the second "Color"?

I think it's the shadow color.

Yes, it is the 2nd color item listed also as "Color" in the light properties under "Shadow". I guess the right-click record list should probably have the 2nd color listing labeled as "Shadow Color".

I've attached my .JAS test animation of the right-click record "color" option for Shadow Color.

You´re recording the second color which is for the shadow - the drop down menu is ordered by hierarchy.

Ah, I see. makes sense. I agree with BTT1024. Would be a UX improvement to call it "Shadow color" in the animatable property list. Most of the time I'm not even aware of the shadow color.
