Excavator Build

I was inspired to try to build an excavator.

This is a proof of concept animation to test the action of the hydraulic cylinders.
This was done with a Target Tag on each cylinder part.

Very cool. We have some larger exterior signage cabinets that have doors that use gas cylinder assists. I can see where this technique would be useful for that if I were to ever animate them.

The proof worked. But for me (maybe I'm wrong) there is an error in the base. The hole stays at the same place, as it should, but it looks to me as it would move in the arm. The pivot of the arm seems slightly off; at least that's my perception.

It is a slick trick. The only problem is the Target Tags
seem to always make the object point the wrong way
so they need some adjustment.

I had to check to be sure, because I see it too. It is an illusion caused
by the cam like shape of the end of the boom arm, needs a reshape.

Now I'm racking my brain trying to figure a way to
make the linkage to the bucket work when I rotate it.
