Lawn grass

Lawn grass

Simple grass test using particle mesh for dispersement and particle tag for randomness.

(Model will probably need to be scaled down if you want to incorporate into scene.)

That is some gorgeous grass!
I think it renders out beautifully in Falcon.
Thanks so much for sharing.:D

 Mmm
The render of your grass looks better on my desk top than it looks as an uploaded document on the forum.

I used png.
I most always use it. . . probably because one can make transparencies with it.
Would jpg work better? I suppose tif is too expensive & impractical.

Oh! Maybe the problem is I usually just take a screen shot of the render on the render manager. Screen shots aren't for quality photos are they?

Actually, the PNG 24 is higher quality. I was just guessing on the JPG because that's what it resembled. Maybe the render manager was smaller than size of render when you took screenshot?

Edit:
JPG is not necessarily lower quality than PNG 24 when compression is not set. But JPG compression does introduce artifacts, which increase as compression increases.

Come to think of it I have my render manager sized small.
If I use the Save feature in the render manager it results in a larger picture size.
