Set One Object to Another Objects' Position

How do I place an object at the same spot as another?

For instance, I set up an IK chain and hit Add Target or Add Pole and I want to replace the Folder Cheetah adds with a Spline object.

Or, is there another way of doing this?

Hold Shift-key down while you drag the spline onto the folder in the object-browser. Then drag it from the hierarchy without shift-key.
