Randomize all vertice locations

Randomize all vertice locations

How would one go about doing this ;)

[a] Get all vertice XYZ into an array or list.
add random +/- values to each element

I am thinking in terms of the Glitch movement.

If I understand what you're after, there's no need to place vertices into an array. I would suggest experimenting with adding a "Crumple" modifier to your Object(mesh) and play with the values. Hope this helps.

So Rene66, how would one go about animating the "glitched" mesh over a little bit of time? change the crumple on the timeline with keyframes>?

forgot to update this. I got explosion one going and looking at the wind blow stuff later today.

In other tests, I have been mimicking traditional 2d pixel filters in the likes of photoshop and recreating them in Cheetah3d. mesh warp and ortho camera does a great job as one example ;)

And from discovering that using an ortho camera in a 3d package sort of gives you a 2d filter environment, I was exploring the collapse command to act like a glitch effect on a plane as well as voronoi effects on images.
