I found another great video by Mohamad, this one combines four an six fold designs.
This was the most complex build so far, although I suspect it gets even more difficult with five fold designs.
Here's an illustration showing the 4 and 6 divisions of 90º.
It works because the two share the 45º angle.
Tips: You can use the Camera view if you want, just set it for Orthographic to remove any perspective.
The circle splines can be rotated to place the points where you need them for snapping.
The Boolean trimmer I set up will cut the miters, but it also closes them up.
So finally you can make it editable, delete the polygons at the ends, then use the
Symmetries and Arrays before making the whole thing editable again.
Then Optimize to weld it all together.
