bone texture

I'm curious if you require a procedural material, or would texture-based be okay.

Texture based would likely look better, but requires added effort doing a good UV unwrap.

Procedural may or may not be good enough - at least unwrapping is not necessary.

One place to start for procedural is to look in the 'decorated pig' thread, find something close and then modify it to your needs.

bone texture

well in fact im working on a bone and can't find the perfect texture for it.

not a pro of cheetah 3d yet ans image wrapping it is not easy at all for me.
So i was looking for a mix of color and value that would make my bone rely look like a bone
