That looks really nice, ZooHead!
Thanks a lot.
I like the Frame Grid-work holding the tiles... Very cool!

Love that the orthographic view looks great too! Amazing how versatile a 3D scene can be. Really nice work.
Thanks maruchan, I'm very satisfied with the results.
I'll be using both for the idea I'm formulating.
Thanks Al, it's been very educational, I needed
to understand this thing before I made it.
Getting closer with 30 elements to go.
With a few mistake to correct.
Oh Man!! That is awesome!:icon_thumbup:
Is this going to be animated or interactive in some way?

ALinCAL
I would like to have it animated/interactive with the same kind of
interactivity as http://www.ptable.com/, only graphically stunning.
I may need to recalibrate my monitor, my images
are so much more saturated on the forum.

Right on. Maybe useful? http://www.awwwards.com/the-quick-learn-way-to-creating-a-3d-object-with-babylon-js.html
I'm thinking of using that script in an upcoming project of my own.
The only problem with ptable is the temperature slider. First, it's hard to tell the text colors apart, and second there's no pressure slider and those temperatures assume 1 ATM (and Hydrogen only becomes solid at insanely high pressures).
I finished building the main model.
I found a video by the creator of the dynamic periodic table. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EX56SP-lTHc&hd=1
This is one serious scientific tool, I'm not going to try to replicate everything presented there, it's simply a mind blowing piece of work.
I will try and create a beautiful, but more simple tool with a link to ptable.com.
Tonio, If you haven't watched this yet, check it out. He talks
very fast but, as Hawkeye Pierce said, "try listening slowly".
Drop him a line about the pressure slider I'm pretty sure he will respond.
Whoaaaa  That's awesome man. Nice work.
Fantastic work ZOO!!!
What were your plans on the animation?
