New user…*Particle Mesh Questions

I’m a little unclear as to how exactly to initiate the drop. When you say “let it fall to the ground”, how is that action initiated?

Ok, so it helps to have a version of C3D that supports rigid body dynamics. 😉 I'm now running the latest version, and I have followed this tutorial, but my coins fall straight through the ground plane. 🙁

Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? Both ground plane and coin have a rigid body tag, with the former set to "static". Not sure what I'm doing wrong.

You can check the file from the tutorial under Help->Cheetah3d Samples-Dynamics->Rigid Body 2.jas
The ground-plane needs to be "static" while the coins are "dynamic".

Thanks for the sample file. It helped me realize that I had the rigid body tag on the coin inside the particle array and not he particle array itself! I've now got it working! 😄
