Thanks Terry, it's my pleasure.

Thanks Greg, I see what you're missing with the RV and I may be able to
do a more boxy sedan, the sexy curves are really fiddly sometimes.
It is so much clearer to me now that I've done it once so, I'll give it a try.

Good work Eric, nice imagery that's all pretty clear too, thanks for taking the time to show us all what you're doing :icon_thumbup: Cheers Pat

The Sedan Build should look something like this.

Gotta go back and start again but it goes pretty fast at the beginning.

This is the same model with further tweaking, I just couldn't leave it alone.
And I still have to restart the process, but this is what you can do from the boxy Sedan.

This one has been more fun than I expected, thanks Greg, for giving me a nudge in this direction.

Old style four door, maybe suicide doors as well.

Retro tail lights and continuing to round the corners.

Coming along nicely ZooHead. I was able to make your car base, though in a bit different way than in your first tutorial gif. I got into trouble with making cars by waiting to cut out for the wheels a bit too late in modeling stage… I was adding sexy curves too early and that certainly causes issues. I like your approach a lot.

Thanks Greg, I believe you're right, making the wheel wells
early is very helpful. And I'm finding the curves should be
added later than I did with the sports car. The sedan was
closer to the proper sequence.
Stay boxy as long as possible, even if a flat surface is tilted
early on, as with a windshield, don't curve it until later.

Hot Tip: We all try to avoid 3-gons and 5-gons, but did you
know that if you add even one level of subdivision to a model
with triangles or n-gons they are all divided into Quads!

I'm not getting the cover part so I'm kind of stuck.
I'm not getting the back parts or grasping how to get the curves with the cover tool. Can you explain it a bit more? I thank you.

No problem, I used two Symmetry Modifiers, and the wheel wells where made with the
Cover Command and Transform Tool, then Gadget Mode click on the pivot point. (blue ball on)
Then And rotate (with the blue ball off) to 22.5, Cover, rotate, Cover, rotate eight times.

Tip: I have Gadget Mode set on my "G" key so it's easy to turn it on and off.
As well as the Transform Tool on my "T" key.

Here is a page from the upcoming tutorial:
