selecting / loop and ring select

What I would like is a parameter for loop and ring select to select only every nth polygon in the ring.

With low polymodels it's not much work to select them manually, but if you have more of them it can be tedious to click some hundert times or so ... It would be great help to select, say every 2nd or 3rd poly.

I knew Hexagon from when it still was from Eovia. Couldn't even remember it hat this function. I used it with lightwave very often, though.

It's one of the very few things I miss, which is a big compliment to cheetah, btw.
