Again: Arealight can produce soft shadows and shadow catcher in Falcon is not yet ready.

Just use the Area light with the Cheetah renderer.

For soft sun shadows in Cheetah try this:

or this HDRI that I made from a panoramic render of the original Cheetah skylight.

Problem is both are not (easy) adjustable to time and location.
