How to show Material/Texture in UV editing mode?

How to show Material/Texture in UV editing mode?

I'm working with a bunch of models that will share the same texture for various reasons (due to the way the game engine works.) I've created a texture for them, but each model is a separate cheetah file.

Is there some way, when setting up the UVs to be able to see the texture in the UV window?

It's a big white square, even when the material is applied to the object in question and the texture is loaded. As I adjust the UV I can see the way the texture appears on the object in the 3D view, but it would help alot to be able to see the texture in the UV part of the window so that I can easily adjust my UVs correctly.

How do I do this?
 
I think in the material window where you load a texture just click on edit texture and it should show up in the uv edit window when you are done hit the leave edit button.
