vertex joining question

vertex joining question

How do I connect these 8 vertexes to form a box. I can't figure how to connect vertexes, weld doesn't give me the result I'm after the box is only for raising the question. I'm looking to connect vertexes using create new vertex.

Huuh, I´m really not quite sure, what you are after.
What is that good for? I mean this was a box before?
If you want polygons again try "create polygon" and click 4 vertexes in one axis counterclockwise to, yes to create a polygon. Mmmmmmmmh!

I didn't think it would be clear, but if I create a polygon in the top view then another on in the right view how do I connect the vertexs? Don't be confused about the box it was for an example. The vertexes I want to connect are of odd shapes. I'm sorry I sound confusing but I'm confused.
