Naturally reflections on the ground

Naturally reflections on the ground

I don't speak english very well, but i hope, you can understand me. I want to explain, how i get naturally refelctions in a photoshop-composing.

- the first picture is the final composing
- the second picture is my Cheetah3D render-result
- the third picture shows the photoshop-layers
- the fourth pictures shows the photoshop-layer in the middle

To first, i rendered the speakers. In Cheetah3D i created the Speakers and a plane for the ground. The ground emulates the ice in the photograph (photoshop-background). The Mmaterial at the plane has a reflection and a bump-map. The second picture shows the result. The background is a HDR-Image of this location. It is importent, to render all required reflections in Cheetah. There must be enough foreground in the render-image.

In Photoshop i created two layers, the unchanged render-image an a modified. I have reduced the saturation an the highlights in this layer. The highlights (reflections around the speakers) should be a 50% gray.
The blending-mode of this layer must be set to "hard light". By means of layer masks, you can uncover the speakers in the upper and the reflctions in the lower layer.
