Texture Tiling (again)

Texture Tiling (again)

I'm trying to add a fractal map (mixed down to about 0.2) to some of my surfaces to give them a bit of colour variation, and a reflection map to my glass -- but I keep getting what appears to be high-frequency tiling.

I've tried adding a UV tag, setting adapt texture and altering the scaling factor, but nothing seems to work: I still get the repeating tiling in my images. Frank's method in the other thread didn't seem to make any difference.

Also, I've got these totally black areas on some of my surfaces, now.

Any suggestions?

Damn! Can't attach images at the moment...will try later.

Hi Tim,
sorry but on that .jpg it is difficult to distinguish between rendering artifacts and .jpg compression artifacts. Maybe you can mail me a .tiff and the texture you've used.
Does the texture look OK in the OpenGL preview? Did you use the quad processor beta I've sent you?

Martin --

OpenGL preview showed the same thing...I used 2.5 & 2.6 (looked for the 'Turn Off Tiling' in 2.6, but couldn't find it.)

E-mailing image to you now...

Tim, did you also changed the materials scale?

Regards,

Peter
