tracing rays

tracing rays

another task:
is there a way to cast rays and get intersection or hit status with objects?
In cinema there is a dedicated function, as well in unity (for obvious reason).
is there anything similar in cheetah? a workaround?

PS I would like to be able to measure the number of rays that are blocked by one object while I am modelling it. Imagine you are trying to design a shape fora louver system and want to check if you can see or not sunlight...
more for fun than fro real but still interesting exercise.

I'm sorry but there is currently no script function available which does ray/scene intersections.
