Reel Smooth...

Reel Smooth...

Hey,

I am animating some footage but the camera moves kind of strictly. Whenever it changes direction, zooms, or curves it doesn't feel very natural. I don't know if it is possible to fix that or not, but if it isn't, it would make a nice addition to Cheetah 3D 3.0! :D

MovieMaker 8)

Go to the help section and look at animation. It will tell you how to deal with this issue using f-curves etc.

No problem MovieMaker

Record three or key frames then drag your mouse across them to highlight each (they turn red). Then right click on the animation editor window and pick 'tangent', then pick 'soft'. That should smooth out all you key frames.

Change them to f-curves to adjust them for real loopy effects.

Thanks again :D!

Now maybe I'm just stupid, but I cant get to the F-curve. I read everything the help had to say, but I couldn't find out how.

Make sure you have animation editor open under the Window>Layout drop down menu. Then look at the the words 'key editor, above the icons in the anmiation window. Right click on it and pick f-curve. It's kind of hidden, but this is how you do it.
