better/easier view management... may I suggest under 3d View / Left, Right, Top etc? and labels on these views would be helpful also

also: Polygon shape / Capsule (ala C4d)

also: more Spline shapes ( I-beam, radius cornered rectangle, )

also: Alignment (along X, Y, Z )

I'd support view labels within the views (top left, say) as a preference item, but not if it means losing real estate.

Capsule, Spline, etc.

How about changing the scripting system so that I can write a custom object or spline script and it gets added to the appropriate menu directly (it can be flagged as a script still) rather than being buried in a submenu of scripts.
