User defined visual clipping plane & spacemouse

User defined visual clipping plane & spacemouse

Idea 1
====
A user movable clipping plane that temporarily reveals interiors of objects would be great. A similar tool exists in Sketch up and it facilitates the editing of objects containing other objects. Example of this are buildings. Please have a look at a SketchUp screen shot. The user movable clipper both reveals the interiors of objects as it slices them as well as providing temporary access to the interior of the objects.

Spacemouse is a navigation device for 3D that can be currently used together with programs like 3DS MAX, Maya (in OSX also), GoogleEarth (in OSX also) and SketchUp (in OSX also). It provides six degrees of freedom movement. In 3D modeling context it is fast to use the spacemouse in the non dominant hand for navigation and normal mouse in the dominant hand for object manipulation. It speeds up editing and navigation within complex 3D surroundings.

Where I live The Navigator version is currently sold cheaper than the Apple MightyMouse.
