Blueprints for Cheetah 3D

I use FreeCAD to build a model based on specific measurements.
From that model I make a technical drawing exporting it as a PDF.
I also make SVGs I can use to help build the model in Cheetah 3D.

I open the PDF in PS and add a blue background layer.
The PDF has black lines, but I want white, so I invert the layer.

Any area filled with white, is now black, so I change
the blending mode of that layer to screen or lighten.

The last blueprint I made was for a Hozelock to Camlock
adapter from a a technical drawing I found on the web.
I could not find one from Hozelock or Camlock
so I’m not sure if it’s a real part.

This type of object, called a T Slot extrusion, seemed to be a good
choice to build. But it turned out to be much harder than I thought.

Looking into the engineering of these aluminum
extrusions, you can see a built in torque gage.
The “wings” are at a slight angle, which will straighten out
when bolted together, and the proper torque is applied.
