WIP Decorative border tile design.

Built with no subdivision.

One thing that bugs me about this tile pattern is the hex tiles are slightly rotated.
It would be fine if I was subdividing as the hex would become a circle.

I'm working on a redesign to correct this, but it will change the curves a little.

This looks great. Is there any chance of a tutorial on how to lay out seamless patterns? I can do them on paper, vector software, and 2D CAD, but I get stuck when translating these skills to Cheetah.

Thanks Chris, I do have a few GIFs I don't think I posted yet,
here's one showing a single tube shape to start with.

The Ring Modifier creates the basic hex shape and a
Transform Modifier added before an Array Modifier
lets you rotate the pattern for proper alignment.

Thanks so much Eric. I'll give it a go. I may be back to ask if there is any chance of seeing your file so I can explore the settings behind each modifier if I get stuck.

I found a different file which includes three Booleans two Sweeps
two Ring Modifiers two Transform and two Array Modifiers.

This bunch of Modifiers under a Boolean Creator really pushes the limit of what you can do with Cheetah 3D.
I don't recommend doing things this way, all in one stack, but it's fun to try and this time it worked.

I still have a way to go, but I did get the sweep and array tools doing what I wanted them to do by analysing your file.
