Gearing Up- Bevel Gears

It would be nice to use it as a holiday video greeting card. 🤞
But I still have to do the LED display and the Base/Drive system.

I've got the "LED" system working.
It's a 15 second cycle so I can add new text in 15 second intervals.

When your name first appeared on the display, I thought this was going to be the most outrageous self-congratulation machine on the planet. As a display panel, it will perhaps enter the category of the Strangest Things in 500 years. 😅 (y)

I don't think it's strange, outrageous or ludicrous, I think it's just beautiful. So for my apartment I would please order two of the perforated vases and one self-congratulation machine. I was thinking of: "Congratulations for being Lydia. You are the best, the greatest, the most beautiful..." Something like that. Is it possible? - Thank you!

All joking aside. I really like it extremely well and I'm looking forward to the finished animation of the holiday video greeting card! These are definitely the most beautiful gears I've ever seen. :D

@Lydia Thanks, you made my day.

I'm working out the cuts and I guess I need a music track as well.
I'll see if I can get this done in time.

Last night I set up a 5 second test render using the
Cheetah renderer with AO at 1920 x 1080 and 30 fps
but it's not even at 2 seconds this morning.

If I can reduce render time to a point where I can
do 5 second cuts over night I'll be in the groove.

In my experience Cheetah+AO is the fastest way ever to get decent results. Can we have a screenshot of your render settings?
Here are the settings except the resolution was 1920 x 1080.

Last night I ran another 5 second test at 24 fps and 1280 x 720 and that one was done in the morning. 🥳
Is there any thing else I can do to improve render time further?

Looking all good - the only thing that can cut off render time here is "Detail detection" - but it will eliminate most of the the AO look once disabled. So I´d stay with it.

Here's a quick update. Most of the takes are rendered and arranged in PS.
The last renders I have to do are the ones with the LED messages.

For a change of pace I've been working on the music for the audio track. 🎸🎹🎼

At the end there's a star field image that I worked very hard to
make "twinkle" but the YouTube system totally eliminated it.
