Coordinate System parameters...

Need help finding Coordinate System parameters.
I have used the tool before and have had the parameters show (in the Properties Panel?). Can't find them now...

Creating a Cog object then dropping it into an Extrusion, folding that up and starting to animate. The coordinates of the Extrusion are not center to X, Y and Z. Selecting the Extrusion, choosing Coordinate System and nothing shows up to set Snap to Center, Burn, etc., Nothing.
What am I missing?

Thanks for any guidance!

Coord System is a Tool and so in the Tool´s menu:
Select "Extrude"-object - call Coord-System hit Center Pivot Point then Burn pivot point. New coordinates are in the Transform Tool listed. If that´s what you´re looking for.

Did the above but as soon as the Coord System tool is called nothing change in the Properties panel or anywhere else. Where are the above parameter supposed to appear?
Transform param's not available either.

Just found it... Object has to be in Pivot mode. Online manual says it works with Object, Polygon, Edge, Points modes.
Thank you Frank for always chiming in!!

Also have to be in Modeling Layout, nothing works when in Animation Layout. Marty, if you're out there, seems Coord System should be callable from either.

Thanks

Your getting yourself confused. Pivot Mode is not necessary.

As Frank stated Coord System is a tool so it won't show up in the
Properties Panel, it will show up in the Tool Panel if it's there.

The Layout has nothing to do with it, you can customize
the default animation layout and add the Tool Panel if you want.

I have no clue where the confusion comes from. Is this clearer?

Hi Frank and Zoohead,

The confusion comes from me not playing with the tabs in custom layouts.
Never try to before but I’m unconfused with it now.
Thanks again to the both of yous!

You're in for some fun now, I have a few I use.
Here's the one I use the most.
This is one layout with different panels open.
