Preview navigation performance on Blender vs. Cheetah 3D

Hi,

I've noticed that Cheetah 3D's viewport rendering gets quite slow with high-poly models.

This screen capture compares both blender and cheetah 3D with a model with around 3.7 million polygons, split up into 34 individual meshes. (sorry about the video quality, but I had to squeeze it into 500k).

In cheetah, I get something like 5 fps whereas Blender doesn't seem to care about the polycount and pushes 60 fps throughout previewing exactly the same model. Screen resolution is 5120x2880, but reducing the window size doesn't really speed things up.

Is that a general problem for everyone?
