Also, anyone that has a newer Mac with supported AMD video card (Navi or Vega) and is using Big Sur can now download Octane X Prime for free. I can't remember the full details now, but I think it can use up to 2 GPU's (ok how many Macs have that, but whatever). They so far have stated it will be free for a year, but they may extend it past that. You can download it on the Mac App Store. They also have various plugins for other 3d apps. I've been setting up my scenes in C3d and rendering in Modo, but I may give this workflow a try. I did a few freelance jobs using it (rented a monthly subscription) back in 2019 and pretty much figured out the basics in under an hour and got really great results without having to adjust render settings all over the place.
