Moving a Walk Cycle Through Space

I was following a tutorial on a basic walk cycle then moving the character through space. I ran into two problems: One was I used ZooHead's Crazy Legs rig (which is great) but it didn't have a main mover which I didn't realize until I finished the cycle. I couldn't easily "add" a main controller because I had already set keys, so, when I'm not feeling lazy, I'll go back, add a mover and reanimate. (Sorry for the blathering...)

I get to the end of the tutorial, which was done in Maya, and the last step was to Cycle With Offset, then set to Infinity. Well, nothing in Cheetah even resembles this, soooo...is there a way to move a walk cycle though space easily?

Make yourself a walk ruler.
Scale it to correspond with one step per polygon.
