Golden Mean Polyhedron

I was curious about this picture in a Science Magazine advertisement. I assume it’s an actual micrograph, not a realistic CG render. They appear to be living organisms or viruses.

A rhombic triacontahedron has 30 rhombic faces. In each face the two diagonal distances incorporate the golden ratio known as Phi (.616 : 1 : 1.616). I’m posting it as a tutorial in case anybody wants to add this polyhedron to their collection.

Thanks Joel

Besides gaining your polyhedron in your "rtc" file it was a help to see your Background render set-up and how to set up the direction of the capsule particles in your "rtc_meshes" file

Thanks for including two of your .jas files!

My Best
Jeanny
