Boolean Pill Logo... what the heck is that?

First make the main shape out of a box to avoid a lot of trigons.

Then setup the sweep and Booleans

More to come.

Of course you must make the Booleans editable before you can edit any polygons.
Then delete everything except the inner face from one Boolean, and from the other one delete just the inner face.
Merge the two meshes into one object in preparation for using the Bridge Tool.

Now use the Bridge Tool.
It won't be pretty because the number of points aren't equal between the parts.
The next step is to clean up the geometry that's FUBAR.

Note: I added this one here for obvious reasons, although you can do
all the editing to one half and then add the Symmetry Modifier afterwards.

Here's where it gets tedious. The cleanup.
The idea is to make the Bevel Zone all quads.
Delete, weld, point slide and scalpel tools are used.

Here's a shot of a cleaned up version with no trigons

And the file to dissect.

I never heard of that one, but I've been using it for a long time.
I believe it was coined in the military in WWII, unlike JAFO which I think is move fiction.

My pleasure, I left about five tris in this one to illustrate that it's not a problem.
Even if it is, there are ways to correct the anomalies.

I've never heard JAFO that I can remember - looked it up just now.

Keep up the great tutorial work!

I took a different approach with this one.

Make a text spline, and a n-Edge spline where n=64.

Add many points to the text spline so it can be bent later.
For sharper corners add points near corner points.

Merge them and Extrude them with a bevel. Then from the center, Bend them x2.

More images to come.
