Problem with Boolean

Hi Guys,

In the attached file I am trying to use a boolean to cut out the planer shape from the box.

No matter what I try I cannot get it to work. I can do this okay with 2 normal polygons so I am presuming there is an issue with my planer object.

I created the planer as an PDF.
Imported into cheetah3D
Added an extrusion
Converted to mesh.

Cheers

Please check out "cutOutPlaner" which is a doubled spline: select one point - then call select group and delete - and voilá.

Hi Frank,

I selected one point then called select group and delete. I still got the same result.

I have recreated cutOutPlanerClosed as I found the paths were not closed.

As far as I can see cutOutPlanerClosed should be close ( water tight ? ).

I have selected each point and move them to check there are no un connected nodes.

If I use this object I still have the same issue.

When you add these splines to extrude-creators you will instantly see the gap:
OpenSpline.jpg

To close the spline go Tools->Spline->Create Spline->"Close Spline".
Maybe I deleted the defective one in first place per intuition.
