Auto numbered backups
Being lazy and impulsive, could you add a preference for creating a user defined number of backups?
Let me explain, when I open a file and work on it, the next time I 'save', I would like the amended file to be saved with a incremental number and the original file to remain unchanged.
Thus if I don't like my changes or I want to take an earlier backup in a different direction I can just open the backup 1, 2 or 6 steps back.
