Subdivided frame joints

Rounding off straight edges and flat surfaces is a basic aesthetic principle, typically achieved with beveling and subdivision. The attached directions explain how to precisely round off the connections where the straight elements of a flat or polyhedron frame converge. It uses Hiroto’s Edge N Splitter script to set the radius for all connections equally or proportionally. Weld and Point Slide are used to tweak any individual connection radius.

It can be adjusted to make the radius close or wide, and for different frame cross-sections: about circular, sharp square edges, or rounded square.

It’s similar to previous posts by Frank and others (some were lost after the forum redesign) with a few added tips to refine the result and avoid glitches.
