Rotate object to align perfectly with another?..

Hi there

I need to 3d print my object, so I need to rotate it to get one of the faces to sit perfectly flat. The object's angles are irregular, so rotating to get it just right is tricky. Is there a way to get an object to rotate such that a certain face aligns with the 'floorspace' or with another object's face?

Thanks.

Yes - it´s tricky - maybe unless you use physics+gravitation by adding rigid body tags to object and floor:

What also help is to set the Transform-tool orientation to global, decreasing the Rotation step size to a minimum and use gadget mode: once one "foot" made contact via snapping to raster (Y=0) select that point in gadget mode and rotate from this point till the other feet are touching floor/Y-plane.

Cheers

Super - thanks. The Physics thing looks effective. I used .1 rotation steps with sufficient results.

Thanks again.
