Render Manager - Zoom / Pan Images

Render Manager - Zoom / Pan Images

The Render Manager shows the renders smaller than their final output pixel size. I don't know if this is a problem because I'm on a 5k iMac? Anyway, it would be nice to be able to zoom in and pan across images so they can be analyzed without having to save them first.

I desperately want this. I've asked for it too >>

All my renders are over 4k, and I want to see at actual pixels. What I do is copy/paste into photoshop and go to 100%. I would love to eliminate the need for that.

Lets hope Martin reads and considers it.

Ah sorry that it's a double request. I thought I searched for something similar, but must not have used the right words. At least maybe it will bump the idea up farther. I do the same thing. I have to save and then open in either Photoshop or QuickTime.

Getting just the right terms in a search can be tricky. I'm glad other people wish for this functionality too!
-fingers crossed.

I usually right click on the final render info box(far right) and pick show in finder then space bar quick look which gives me a larger view.

Thanks Bob yes ‘larger’ can be useful in many cases - but I’m looking for 100% (actual pixels)-without knowing exact scale, I can’t judge in a meaningful way.

A while back, I wrote an AppleScript Service to simplify a 100% preview. The OS has since reworked it into "Quick Actions", but it works pretty much the same. The interface shot below shows the entire script (inside the Automator application.) Once selected from the Cheetah3D > Services menu item, it will bring the Render manager to the front, copy the selected item to the clipboard, pause a few seconds (just in case the processor is busy), then use the Preview App to open a new image from the clipboard.

NOTE: my script refers to my own Cheetah3D install, which I renamed "Cheetah3D 7.3" so I could more easily work with Beta Versions as they became available. For a straight install, use "Cheetah3D".

@MonkeyT - I've been using 'Show Clipboard in Preview' Service AppleScript you posted a while back fairly often - not just for 100% preview, but also saving before the the render is complete. It still works as it did then, even with update to macOS Mojave. Thanks for sharing!
