Reset pivot point

Hi all, I'm new here. Been out of 3D for a while but came across Cheetah recently and have been quite taken with it. I'm slowly working my way through the various functions and getting to grips with various things but have run into a wall on this one. I used to use Lightwave quite a bit and in that you could reset the pivot point of an object i.e. you could define the centre of the object - the point it rotates about. I haven't yet been able to figure out how to do this in Cheetah. For example I have a flat object (e.g. the rudder of a boat or the flap on a plane) which I want to rotate along one edge. How do I move the centre of rotation to the edge rather than have it in the centre of the object?
