Gels or Slides for lighting

I need to simulate a projector (to project images onto my models - very cool, btw) and was wondering if Cheetah has a technique for adding gels or images (like a slide) to lights? I did find a workaround using a transparent plane loaded with an image in front of a spotlight, but was hoping for a more elegant solution.

We had this request quite a few times already - last one here: http://www.cheetah3d.com/forum/showthread.php?t=10152&highlight=gel
So maybe chime in. Right now the alpha-channel-image-stick-to-spotlight is the only workaround yet.

I just noticed that the "texture" setting has been added in the lighting/cut off section, making gels and "slides" possible, and turning ligts into projectors. Hurrah! Thanks! I am going to enjoy this!
