I've got two objects, where object A would throw a shadow on object B. It's simple as that.
How can I render object A's shadow on a transparent background - without object B actually being visible in the rendering output? I figured out how to render objects A's shadow without object A being actually visible by using a rendering tag, but got stuck with the question above. Any ideas? |

not sure I understood what you mean but you can try to put the new Shadow material on your object B.
If object A is a pig, object B a plane and you have some kind of background in you camera (color, image or hdri) you end up with something like this: shot1 - pig+hdri+plane with standard material shot2 - pig+hdri+plane with shadow material you need Cheetah 5.x for this. hope it helps... cheers, A |
