Default Simple Lighting for 3d TEXT - 14.10.2008, 18:26

Greetings Members,
I'm a brand new user, though not a complete novice of 3d programs but I just acquired Cheetah 3d and there seems to be a limited source of resources for this program, no book, no manual, no instructions. Just posts and a DVD, being that lighting is the most crucial element of modeling, I'm hoping to find some resolution here to lighting and skinning simple text with a simple reflection below and a shiny surface on the text and flat plane beneath it. Anyone know worthy resources or instructions on accomplishing this. thanks

Hi,

Here are a couple of ways :
- Just like lots of Mac apps, there is a help file ( last menu item, on the right ... ! )
- Look at the Example folder in the same folder as the application
- Use the Search function of this forum
- Look at the Tutorial section of this forum
- Look at the Wiki page, here
- Another post, here
