Frank Beckmann’s HouseRaising movie ?

Hello all,

I am keen to learn Cheetah for building simple architectural models - I have the free version of Cheetah 2.6.1 from Macworld magazine. I searched the forums and found a link to Frank Beckmann’s HouseRaising movie, but I cannot get the link to work. If anyone can help me find this tutorial movie, I would very much appreciate it.

I have no idea why it is not working for you.
I tested it right now and it´s still available.

many thanks for your very prompt reply to my query. The links you mention above are exactly the ones I have been using. I am on a Mac running OS X 10.3.9, Safari 1.3.2, QuickTime 7.1.5. I have just tried again and I get nothing. No error messages. I just get a blank Safari page - nothing happens. Maybe if you send it via email, this would be best. Sorry for the trouble. I will PM you my email address.

The links are working ok here. Did you try right clicking the second one above (with .mov at the end) and then go "Download linked file"?

I did try all the things you mention - it’s ok now as Frank has very kindly emailed me the movie direct. I download things hourly daily, so I have no idea why this one did not work.

Hi Frank,

For some reason I, too, had issues with the QT mov not playing in Safari 2.0.4 on OS 10.4.10. All I saw was a blank page with the QT logo. I waited for the file to begin playing to no avail. At any rate, I simply downloaded the file to my desktop by option-clicking the link and then was able to successfully play it.

On a side note, would you consider sharing the .jas file for us to pick through and allow anyone to follow along with your vid?

Sorry for the issues, the movie is not optimised for streaming, but nevertheless I have no probs here with the identical system - maybe not identical in detail .
I will post the jas file in the original thread containing an additional window with muntins.
