I'd like to be able to have Cheetah3D detect a modified texture/bump/displacement-map with the simple hit of a button.
Right now you have to click on "Load" and re-choose the image source. Even better would be if Cheetah3D had an option to have it observe all attached external sources and detect changes it self with automated updates inside the scene. Though this is just an idea. My request goes just for the button for now. DaVinci |

Either option (the button or automatic updates) would be very nice.

I'd like to see this handled like Unity handles it. When you ALT+TAB back to Unity, it automatically reloads any external resources that have changed

Yeah, that would be nice.
But I don't see why you should even have to switch apps. I like the idea of an automatic update or a button better.![]() |

I said that because it would seem logical that you wouldn't be inside of Cheetah while the texture was being modified. You would be in Photoshop, save it, then ALT+TAB back to Cheetah.
It works great for Unity. |

The way Unity works with external files is almost magic.
